New Cars 2012: New BMW 3-series

The New BMW 3 Series models combine the joy of driving and practicality for daily use, ranging from the BMW 3 Series Sedan, BMW 3 Series Touring, BMW 3 Series Convertible to the BMW 3 Series Coupé. The new 3-series is longer and wider than its predecessor and now has a strong resemblance of its elder brother 5-series. The interesting factor is, the firms plan to build a powerplant in India will bring the vehicles cost even lower.

BMW 3 Series:

The sixth and current generation of the BMW 3 Series debuted on October 14, 2011 in Munich. Its exterior is influenced by the F01 7 Series and especially the F10 5 Series. Technology currently available in the 7 Series and 5 Series is expected to feature in the 2012 3 Series, such as a lane departure warning system, night vision, a system to prevent the driver from falling asleep, and radar-based adaptive cruise control with collision-mitigating automatic braking. The new BMW 3 Series Sedan systematically continues the design tradition and features of the BMW brand. The sportingly elegant exterior creates the effect of coming from one single mould and conveys aesthetics and dynamics at first sight. Like its predecessors, the BMW 3 Series Sedan has the classical three-box design – in a modern interpretation. Long bonnet, short front overhang, long wheelbase and rear-set greenhouse promise pure dynamics. The flowing transition from the curving roof line to the flat standing rear window lends the vehicle a coupĂ©-like appearance and a sportingly elegant lightness.

The 2012 3 Series is powered by a new family of aluminum four-cylinder petrol engines ranging from 135 to 245 horsepower.

The New BMW 3-series is expected to launch in India by Mid 2012 at an anticipated price tag between Rs 22-35 lakh

  1. The craze for luxury cars in India is continuously increasing.BMW is one of those luxury car brands which cars are greatly bought by Indian and these cars are not for everyday commute, but their buyers would buy them for status and not really for everyday use.Now the launching of Bmw India 3 series will establish BMW in India in more pronounced manner.
