Jaguar XFR spotted

We spotted a left hand drive Jaguar XFR in Bangalore, India. This XFR is an embassy vehicle that is used for the transportation of foreign delegates visiting India.

The Jaguar XFR was first conceptualized by Mike Cross and his team, with the intent of beating the BMW M5 as well as becoming a true world beater. As the project progressed, engineers realised that the XFR had a perfectly sized market. The car would not only be an M5 beater, but also showed all signs of being the best among the über-fast saloons.

The XFR provides dual performance - a combination that many carmakers have attempted at and failed. Yet the XFR, from the passenger seat appears to have pulled it off. The throttle response software is changed to deliver a variety of different reactions depending on how hard and how fast you stand on the pedal. The XFR wafts forward when you brush the throttle. When you are more enthusiastic, it delivers more verve. If you really stand on it, it can fly in to the horizon while gripping the earth and will prove to be a scare to any driver.

The XFR was announced at the Detroit North American International Auto Show in January 2009 as a new performance derivative of the XK range. The XFR features a 5.0-litre, supercharged engine that is capable of 510bhp and 461lb ft of torque. It reaches 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds and is equipped with 20-inch wheels, strong braking system and a six-speed automatic transmission. It is a car that combines charisma with beauty.  Most people would fall in love with it at first sight.
