We had a shoot at sight
opportunity on Saturday to capture this thunderbolt on our cameras, thanks to
the owner, generously allowed us clicking pictures.
Relaxed, Soulful, Elegant is
what I would call it as, a beautiful machine with a slender growl of the naturally
aspirated V8 powerplant under the hood.
The RS5 is a high performance
version of the A5, which looks different from every aspect. Blatant is the
coupe like body structure, which will capture eye of any auto enthusiast.
Focusing on the design language the brand has for the Audi RS5, it is evident
that the lines look amazing, with a jaw dropping grille, front bumper with air
intakes and foglight housings are more angular and made to look more deep-set
by the projecting splitter. Xenon headlights and daytime running lights are
standard. The rear showcases, oval exhausts, along with an integrated boot lid
spoiler that automatically deploys above 120 km/h or it can be lifted
permanently via a button on the dashboard.
The Audi RS5 is mated with a 4.2-litre
naturally aspirated V8 engine, pumping 444 hp and 430 N·m of torque, which was
previously found in the RS4 versions (currently-discontinued), its powered by 7-speed "S tronic"
dual clutch semi-automatic gearbox.
The RS5 weighs 1,800 kg, with
56.3 percent at the front and 43.7 in the rear which makes the driving jubilant
- just brilliant, making an easy pace.
The Audi RS5 directly competes
with BMW M3, Porsche Cayman R and few others of the same segment.
