Our eyes were gleaming at the
road show organized by Performance cars at the Stanley boutique premises in
Bangalore today. Within minutes of unloading the beautiful handcrafted supercar
Aston Martin Vanquish, crowd just flocked into the location to catch a glimpse
of the beast in life.
Short intro on the Vanquish:
- Vanquish was unveiled as Project AM310 Concept
at the Concorso D’Eleganza at Villa D'Este, Italy
- An artistic impression of the successor to the
DBS
- Inspired by the supercar One-77, looks
futuristic and an evolution of the DBS
- Serious usage of carbon fiber results in massive
reduction of the cars weight
- Elegantly handcrafted, technologically advanced and
great craftsmanship

Power
The Vanquish represents the
synthesis of natural power, racing technology and design superiority. Powered
by an upgraded version of the V12 engine with 565bhp and 457 lb-ft of torque mated
to a six-speed automatic transmission, the Vanquish delivers spectacular performance.
Heavy usage of carbon fiber adds lightweight bodywork advantage, resulting in exhilarating
driving experience, meticulous handling and dynamism.

Outstanding beauty with
dynamic abilities is evident on the bodywork, hand crafted from aluminium and
carbon-fiber express the car’s potency performance, agility and speed. The
signature grille of Aston remains upfront, with sharper flanked, LED-lined
headlamps, also an eye catching decklid spoiler crafted from a single piece of
carbon fiber. The rear fenders and haunches are more curvaceous and exaggerated
than before. At the front of the underlies carbon fiber, enhancing the
aerodynamics and handling of the car, the rear diffuser again is submerged in
carbon fiber making it more rigid than the DBS. I just love the carbon fiber
split on the front.

The soul of the Vanquish lies
in its interior offering. It now serves as the brand's flagship model, since
the iconic One-77 supercar now remains officially sold out. The Vanquish
features an all new interior based on the exclusive Aston Martin One-77. The
interior is trimmed in hand stitched leather and alcantara available in a range
of colors (Current one in spicy red). The centre console features an enhanced
infotainment system with 1000W Bang & Olufsen BeoSound audio system with 13
speakers and Garmin satellite navigation system to name it.
The combination of the DNA, Power,
Beauty & Soul makes the Vanquish a true race-bred Aston Martin.
It was sad but inevitable, as
we bid farewell to the most stylish and powerful car the city has seen, hoping
to sight it soon we keep our desire alive.
